  • Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and profile information provided through TikTok OAuth authentication
  • Communication Data: When you contact us via email, form submissions, or other channels, we collect the contents of those communications
  • User Preferences: Settings, configurations, and preferences you set within the ClipBot platform, including content scheduling preferences, analytics display options, and notification settings
  • Payment Information: If you subscribe to a paid plan, payment details are processed by our third-party payment processor. We do not store your full credit card information on our servers

1.2 Information Collected Through TikTok OAuth

When you connect your TikTok account through OAuth, we may receive the following information depending on the permissions you grant:

  • Your TikTok username, display name, and profile picture
  • Your TikTok user ID
  • Public profile information
  • Video metadata (titles, descriptions, tags, posting dates)
  • Video performance metrics (views, likes, comments, shares, watch time)
  • Follower and following counts
  • Account analytics and audience demographics (where available through the API)

1.3 Information Collected Automatically

  • Usage Data: Pages visited, features used, actions taken, time spent on the platform, and interaction patterns
  • Device Information: Browser type, operating system, device type, screen resolution, and language preferences
  • Log Data: IP address, access times, referring URLs, and error logs
  • Cookies and Similar Technologies: We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to maintain your session, remember your preferences, and analyze usage patterns

1.4 Information from Third-Party APIs

  • TikTok API Data: Video performance metrics, account analytics, and content data retrieved through scheduled API calls to the TikTok platform
  • AI Processing Results: Analytics, insights, and recommendations generated by processing your data through AI services, including Anthropic's Claude

2. How We Collect Information

We collect information through the following methods:

  • TikTok OAuth: When you authorize our application to access your TikTok account, we receive an access token that allows us to retrieve your account data and video metrics through TikTok's official API
  • Scheduled API Calls: After authorization, our system makes periodic API calls to TikTok to retrieve updated video performance metrics, new content data, and account analytics
  • Direct Input: Information you manually enter into the platform, such as scheduling preferences, content descriptions, or account settings
  • Automated Collection: Standard web technologies (cookies, server logs, analytics tools) that collect usage and device data when you interact with our Services
  • AI Processing: Your content and metrics may be sent to AI services for analysis, where the AI generates insights and recommendations that are returned to our platform

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

3.1 Providing and Operating the Services

  • Authenticating your identity and managing your account
  • Retrieving and displaying your TikTok video performance analytics
  • Generating AI-powered content insights and optimization recommendations
  • Scheduling and publishing content to your connected TikTok account

  • Processing and delivering notifications and alerts

3.2 Improving the Services

  • Analyzing usage patterns to improve user experience and interface design
  • Training and improving our AI models and algorithms (using aggregated, de-identified data only)
  • Identifying and fixing bugs, errors, and performance issues
  • Developing new features and services

3.3 Communication

  • Responding to your inquiries and support requests
  • Sending service-related notifications (account updates, security alerts, feature changes)
  • Sending promotional communications (only with your consent, and you may opt out at any time)

3.4 Legal and Security

  • Complying with applicable laws, regulations, and legal processes
  • Enforcing our Terms of Service
  • Detecting, preventing, and addressing fraud, security issues, and technical problems

Your data is stored on secure servers located in the United States. If you are accessing the Services from outside the United States, please be aware that your data will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services that may process your data:

5.1 TikTok API

We use TikTok's official API to access your account data, video metrics, and publishing capabilities. TikTok's handling of your data is governed by TikTok's Privacy Policy. We access only the data you authorize through the OAuth consent process and use it solely for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.

5.2 Anthropic Claude (AI Processing)

We use Anthropic's Claude AI to analyze content, generate insights, and provide optimization recommendations. Data sent to Claude for processing may include video metadata, performance metrics, and content descriptions. Anthropic's data handling is governed by their Privacy Policy. We do not send your personal account credentials to AI services.

5.3 Hosting and Infrastructure

We use third-party hosting providers to store and serve our application. These providers maintain their own security and privacy practices and are contractually obligated to protect your data.

5.4 Analytics

We may use analytics services to understand how users interact with our Services. These services may collect information about your use of the Services and report it to us in aggregate form.

We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party services. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party services that interact with our platform.

6. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We may share your information in the following circumstances:

After the applicable retention period, we will securely delete or anonymize your data. We may retain certain information longer if required by law or to resolve disputes.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:

8.1 Right to Access

You have the right to request a copy of the personal information we hold about you. We will provide this information in a commonly used, machine-readable format within 30 days of your request.

8.2 Right to Correction

You have the right to request that we correct any inaccurate or incomplete personal information we hold about you.

8.3 Right to Deletion

You have the right to request that we delete your personal information. Upon receiving a valid deletion request, we will:

  • Delete your account and associated data within 30 days
  • Revoke all connected OAuth tokens
  • Remove your data from our active databases
  • Request deletion of your data from third-party processors where applicable

Certain data may be retained if required by law or for legitimate business purposes (such as resolving disputes or enforcing our Terms).

8.4 Right to Opt Out

You have the right to:

  • Disconnect your TikTok account at any time through your account settings
  • Opt out of promotional emails by clicking the "unsubscribe" link in any marketing communication
  • Disable cookies through your browser settings (note: this may affect the functionality of the Services)
  • Revoke our access to your TikTok account through TikTok's app settings

8.5 Right to Data Portability

You have the right to receive your personal data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format and to transmit that data to another service provider.

8.6 Exercising Your Rights

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at nexusventures@thenexusventures.com. We will respond to your request within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity before processing your request.

9. Children's Privacy

Our Services are not intended for individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 years of age. This is in compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).

If you are a parent or guardian and believe that your child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately at nexusventures@thenexusventures.com. We will take steps to delete such information from our systems within 48 hours of verification.

Users between the ages of 13 and 18 must have parental or guardian consent to use the Services. By allowing a minor to use the Services, the parent or guardian agrees to these terms on the minor's behalf.

10. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA):

You may designate an authorized agent to make requests on your behalf. We may require verification of the agent's authority and your identity before processing the request.

10.6 How to Submit a Request

11. International Users

Our Services are primarily operated from the United States. If you are accessing the Services from outside the United States, please be aware of the following:

  • Your data will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your country
  • By using the Services, you consent to the transfer of your data to the United States
  • We take steps to ensure that your data receives an adequate level of protection in the jurisdictions in which we process it

There is currently no universal standard for how companies should respond to DNT signals. At this time, we do not respond to DNT signals, but we will continue to monitor developments in this area.
